I’m very excited about the release of my friend Ivy Beckwith‘s new book, Formational Children’s Ministry. This book is grounded in solid theory about education and children, yet it is accessible to all readers. What makes it especially helpful is that her ideas are relevant and appropriate for those who align themselves with the emerging church movement, but it’s also broad enough to be helpful for ministers who might be in more traditional contexts. The ideas she offers are not cookie-cutter, but are meant to be adapted to particular contexts and churches. Bravo, Ivy!
