I contributed to a recently-published resource called Nexus: Central Themes in Children’s Ministry. Each of us who wrote chapters was asked to respond to why we did children’s ministry or what the purpose of children’s ministry is. For my contribution, I explored mutual discipleship. And since the practitioners and writes in the book come from all sorts of contexts and theological traditions, the result is an eclectic collection of reflections about why we do children’s ministry.
